Michael T. Andriole

President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director

Mike Andriole joined Artios in 2025 as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director following a career in the biopharmaceutical industry which spans ~25 years.聽 His career follows a consistent theme of focused execution in clinical development, corporate development and corporate strategy with a particular focus on first-in-class oncology therapies in areas of very high unmet need where no approved treatment exists.

Prior to joining Artios, Mike served as President, CEO, and Director of Chimerix, Inc. where, prior to its $935 million all-cash acquisition in April 2025, the Company led development of dordaviprone (Modeyso庐), a first-in-class small molecule imipridone approved on August 6, 2025, as the first treatment for recurrent H3 K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma, a type of malignant brain tumor in children and young adults. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer and head of corporate development at Endocyte, Inc., where he led a series of strategic transactions that culminated in a $2.1 billion all-cash acquisition by Novartis driven by the late-phase development of its first-in-class targeted radioligand therapy, Lu¹⁷⁷-PSMA-617, which later became the first product approved specifically for PSMA-positive metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (Pluvicto庐). Earlier in his career, Mike spent 16 years at Eli Lilly and Company in various financial, marketing, and global business development roles.

Mike holds a BSBA from Xavier University鈥檚 Williams College of Business and an MBA from Indiana University鈥檚 Kelley School of Business.

Christine Silverstein

Chief Financial Officer

Christine Silverstein has served as Chief Financial Officer at Artios since 2024, bringing more than two decades of experience in corporate strategy, capital markets, business development, governance, and financial planning across both public and private biotechnology companies.

She has led the strategy behind securing over $1 billion in capital through a wide range of transactions including equity financings, partnerships, and M&A. Most recently, she led the successful sale of Emendo Biotherapeutics to the Japanese biopharmaceutical company Anges Inc., a cross-border transaction that demonstrated her ability to drive strategic outcomes and deliver shareholder value.

Prior to joining Artios, Christine served as Chief Financial Officer at Excision Biotherapeutics, Emendo Biotherapeutics, and Abeona Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ABEO). Earlier in her career, she served as Head of Investor Relations at Relmada Therapeutics (NASDAQ: RLMD) and held other senior leadership roles at clinical-stage biotechnology companies. She also served as Managing Director at SCO Capital Partners, a New York-based biotechnology investment fund.

Christine previously served on the Board of Directors of Marinus Pharmaceuticals as Audit Chair through the company鈥檚 acquisition by Immedica in February 2024 and continues to serve on the Board of Abeona Therapeutics, both commercial-stage biopharmaceutical companies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John鈥檚 University and has earned accreditations from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority鈥�(FINRA) and Harvard鈥疷niversity.

Graeme Smith

Chief Scientific Officer

Graeme has served as Chief Scientific Officer at Artios since 2017.

He has more than 30 years of experience in oncology research, with significant expertise and in-depth knowledge in the field of DNA Damage Response (91快播). He joined Artios from AstraZeneca, where he held the position of Senior Director of Bioscience within the Oncology Innovative Medicines and Early Development (IMED) division. In this role, Graeme was a member of the Oncology Research Board and led teams in the discovery and development of novel targeted anti-cancer agents. Prior to that, he was Head and Research Director at KuDOS Pharmaceuticals where he played a key role in the discovery and development of Lynparza鈩� (olaparib), the first targeted 91快播 inhibitor to reach the market.

Graeme holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and subsequently worked as a Research Fellow at the Wellcome/CRC Institute at the University of Cambridge in the laboratory of Professor Sir Steve Jackson, FRS.

Ian Smith

Chief Medical Officer

Ian has served as Chief Medical Officer at Artios since 2019.

He has a wealth of experience in the translational research and clinical development of medicines to treat cancer. Prior to joining Artios, Ian served as Global Senior Medical Director within Eli Lilly where he led the worldwide clinical development, regulatory approval and subsequent commercialization of key successful breakthrough medicines for multiple indications. Before that, Ian held the position of Medical Science Director of Global Oncology Medicine Development at AstraZeneca, where he led both early and late phase clinical development of several novel cancer therapeutics for both adult and paediatric indications. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Ian was a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen where he led research projects evaluating novel methods of predicting and assessing early treatment response of cancer therapeutics. Ian has served as a reviewer for several oncology journals and sat on national grant awarding panels within the United States and the United Kingdom.

Ian holds a medical degree from the University of Aberdeen.

Roy Ware

Chief Manufacturing and Technology Officer

Roy has served as Chief Manufacturing and Technology Officer since 2026.

He brings more than 25 years of end鈥憈o鈥慹nd biopharmaceutical R&D leadership, spanning early discovery through NDA submission, approval, and commercial launch. His career has been defined by building high鈥憄erformance teams, driving late鈥憇tage development programs, and delivering regulatory and operational success across multiple therapeutic areas鈥攎ost notably in oncology.

Before joining Artios, Roy served as Chief Manufacturing and Technology Officer at Chimerix, Inc., where he built and led execution鈥慺ocused CMC and Supply Chain organizations. Under his leadership, these teams delivered two successful NDAs for Tembexa庐聽(June 2021) and an NDA for Modeyso庐聽(August 2025). He also spearheaded several late鈥憇tage CMC programs supporting global Phase 3 trials in antiviral and oncology indications, including a recent effort in H3 K27M glioma鈥攁n area where precision, speed, and scientific rigor are essential.

Earlier in his career, Roy held roles at PharmaCore, Inc. and Scynexis, Inc. (both later acquired by Cambrex), where he advanced chemical process development and cGMP manufacturing for diverse small鈥憁olecule portfolios, including multiple anti鈥慶ancer agents. At Serenex, Inc. (acquired by Pfizer), he led medicinal chemistry programs in oncology (PI3鈥慿inase inhibitors) and malaria. Roy began his scientific career as a postdoctoral researcher at RTI International, focusing on drug addiction therapies under the mentorship of Dr. F. Ivy Carroll.

Roy earned his PhD from Wake Forest University, an MBA from the Kenan鈥慒lagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Jeremy B. Fitch

Chief Business Officer

Jeremy has served as Chief Business Officer since 2026.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, primarily with Eli Lilly and Company (鈥淟illy鈥�), where he held roles across operational, financial, and corporate business development functions. He spent the past 15 years in Lilly鈥檚 Corporate Business Development group, most recently as Vice President of Transactions, leading strategic deal-making across mergers and acquisitions, asset acquisitions and divestitures, and licensing agreements.

During his career, Jeremy has led more than $5 billion in transactions and has been central to developing and implementing strategies that have driven substantial value creation across Lilly鈥檚 pipeline.

Jeremy is a Certified Licensing Professional and holds an MBA from Duke University鈥檚 Fuqua School of Business.

Michael A. Alrutz

General Counsel

Michael has served as General Counsel since 2026.

Dr. Alrutz brings 25 years of biotechnology legal affairs experience across both private and public biopharmaceutical companies. He brings a strong track record of advising leadership teams through complex corporate inflection points, including IPO鈥檚, follow-on financings, intellectual property matters, pre-commercialization activities, and corporate transactions.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer at Chimerix, where he led SEC compliance, board governance, intellectual property management, and the legal aspects of corporate transactions, including the company鈥檚 $935 million all-cash merger with Jazz Pharmaceuticals as the company prepared for commercialization of Modeyso庐 (dordaviprone). Previously, while General Counsel at Trimeris, Inc., he provided legal counsel for the company鈥檚 commercial launch of Fuzeon庐 (enfuvirtide).

Dr. Alrutz is registered to practice before the USPTO and holds a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from Tufts University.

John Graham

VP of CMC

John has served as Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) since 2022.

In his role, John is responsible for API & Drug Product development and production through to clinical trial supplies and CMC regulatory interactions. Prior to working at Artios, John served as the Vice President of CMC and Technical Operations at Destiny Pharma. Before this, he was the Director of CMC and Pharmaceutical Development at PAION UK Limited. In his 20 years in the biotech field, John has also held different pharmaceutical development roles within several companies in Pharma (Fisons, Astra Charnwood), CDMO (Quintiles) and Biotech (CeNeS Ltd and MISSION Therapeutics). In these roles, he has developed a number of new products within different therapeutic areas including injectables, oral and topical products in support of early to late-stage clinical research, some of which are now commercialized.

John holds a BSc degree in Pharmacy and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

Bryony Harrop

VP of Clinical Science

Bryony is Vice President of Clinical Science. She previously served as Vice President of Clinical Development from 2020 to 2025.

Bryony is a seasoned pharmaceutical industry professional with over 20 years of experience through all stages of drug development in cutting-edge oncology clinical trials across a broad range of malignancies. She was previously Oncology Delivery Director at AstraZeneca, where she held various leadership positions in the Early Clinical Development, Global Project Management, and Global Medical Affairs units over a period of fifteen years. Before AstraZeneca, Bryony worked at Eisai and at contract research organizations such as MDS Harris and Chiltern International Limited, and in the NHS at Northampton Community Healthcare Trust.

Bryony holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry from the University of Nottingham.

Caryn Barnett

VP of Clinical Operations

Caryn has served as Vice President of Clinical Operations since 2026.

Caryn has over 30 years in the biopharmaceutical industry spanning roles in Clinical Operations, Project Management, Late Phase Development (including Regulatory Submissions and Inspections), Early Phase Development, Quality, and Six Sigma.

While her therapeutic area experience is broad, during the last 16 years Caryn鈥檚 career has focused in late-phase oncology (solid tumor) drug development having led inspection readiness with subsequent approvals for Cyramza (CRC, NSCLC, gastric cancers), Verzenio (HER2- breast cancer), Pluvicto (PSMA+ metastatic prostate cancer) and Modeyso (H3 K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma). Caryn spent over 22 years with Eli Lilly and Company and, since 2018, has been with two market-leading biotech companies, Endocyte and Chimerix. In both biotech companies, Caryn led the Clinical Operations team in the successful planning and execution of registration clinical trials followed by US FDA submissions and successful inspection outcomes. In both instances, her work led to FDA approvals for first-in-class agents and in populations that previously had no specific drug approval.

She provided leadership through the smooth transition of her team following the acquisition of each company. Caryn is known for building high performance teams, focused execution, and establishing collaborative relationships both internally and with key external partners.

Desiree Headley

VP, Head of Clinical Science

Desiree has served as Vice President, Head of Clinical Science since joining Artios in 2021.

Desiree聽has over 20 years of pharmaceutical experience working in various functions across oncology research & development in a wide range of cancer indications. Most recently, she worked at 91快播 as a Cell and Gene Therapy Specialist overseeing investigator engagement initiatives and study oversight for multiple phase I/II trials. Prior to that, Desiree worked at AstraZeneca and Eli Lilly as a medical scientist responsible for the medical oversight and conduct of small and large phase II and III clinical trials. Desiree鈥檚 vast experience in late-stage oncology clinical development also includes regulatory submissions and approvals and working with product launch and commercialization teams.

Desiree聽has a BSc in Health Science from Eastern University and an MSc in Clinical Research from George Washington University.

Robert Heald

VP of Chemistry

Robert has served as Vice President of Chemistry since 2016.

Rob is a seasoned medicinal chemist and drug discovery expert with over 20 years of industrial experience. Before joining Artios, Rob was the Head of Chemistry at Akesios Therapeutics. Prior to this, Rob served as the Director of Chemistry at Argenta Discovery (latterly Charles River) where he managed a group of over 30 chemists and led teams and projects in collaboration with a wide range of institutions, from universities to large biotech and Pharma. These collaborations included 10 years with Genentech and 5 years with Chiesi. During this time, his teams were responsible for the discovery of 6 clinical candidates for oncology and respiratory indications, the most advanced of which is now in Phase III clinical studies. Rob is also an author or inventor of over 50 publications and patents.

Rob holds a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Anti-Cancer Drug Design and Synthesis from the University of Nottingham

Gillian Langford

VP of Translational Science

Gillian has served as Vice President of Translational Science since 2019.

Gillian has over 25 years of research and development experience in both pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Before Artios, Gillian was at Bicycle Therapeutics where she was part of the leadership team and was VP of Clinical and Project Management responsible for moving Bicycle鈥檚 lead compound into the clinic. Prior to this, she was Director of Programme Management at Boyd Consultants and worked with European and North American companies developing oncology products and gene-based medicines. Gillian also worked at Alizyme Therapeutics, Ark Therapeutics and Imutran Ltd, a Novartis Pharma AG company. At Ark Therapeutics, Gillian was responsible for all aspects of the company鈥檚 lead gene therapy product, including non-clinical studies, manufacturing, regulatory and clinical trials (phases II and III). At Imutran Gillian was Unit Head of Molecular Biology and subsequently as Unit Head of Retroviral research managing internal research projects and collaborations with academic groups.

Gillian graduated from Imperial College London and obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology at York University.

Helen Robinson

VP of Biology

Helen has served as Vice President of Biology since 2017.

Helen has 20 years of experience in oncology research, the majority within the DNA Damage Response (91快播) field. Since joining Artios, she has overseen the building of the 91快播 biology platform and continues to lead the biology department, supporting the drug discovery process from target ID and cell assay development through to identifying and validating patient selection hypotheses. Prior to Artios, Helen was at MISSION Therapeutics where she was both a team and project leader responsible for various drug discovery efforts up to the preclinical stage, leading both biomarker discovery and new targets functional teams. Before this, Helen was a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge and a Senior Scientist at KuDOS Pharmaceuticals.

Helen holds a PhD in Cancer Sciences from the University of Glasgow and a BSc in Biochemistry with Molecular Biology from the University of Leeds.

Pablo Lee

VP of Medical Affairs

Pablo has served as Vice President of Medical Affairs since February 2026.

Pablo is a board-certified internist with more than 25 years of experience spanning medical practice, clinical development and global medical affairs. He has led U.S. and global medical affairs organizations at companies including Chimerix and Verastem Oncology, including the recent launch planning and execution of Modeyso庐 (dordaviprone) in H3 K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma. Earlier in his career at Eli Lilly, he held several senior roles spanning global clinical development and medical leadership, during which he helped shape late-stage strategy and advance registrational programs for Cyramza庐 (ramucirumab), Retevmo庐 (selpercatinib), Jaypirca庐 (pirtobrutinib), and Lartruvo庐 (olaratumab).

Pablo earned his MD degree from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Guy C. Ruble

VP of Regulatory Affairs

Guy has served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs since April 2026.

Guy brings more than 20 years of regulatory affairs leadership and over 28 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He joins Artios from Iovance Biotherapeutics, where he served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and was instrumental in the FDA approval of Amtagvi庐, the first tumor鈥慽nfiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy approved in the United States. He also led ongoing regulatory submissions across Australia, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Prior to Iovance, Guy spent nearly 23 years at Eli Lilly and Company, where he led global regulatory strategy for multiple oncology programs including Verzenio庐 (abemaciclib), earning recognition as a Top 100 Lilly Innovator.

Guy holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University and Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC鈥慤S). He is a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Samantha Truex

Board Chair

Samantha Truex currently serves as Chair of the Artios Board. She is the CEO of Oblenio Bio and CEO-in-residence at Aditum Bio. Samantha was the founding CEO of Upstream Bio and has served in leadership roles at multiple venture-backed companies, including as CEO of Quench Bio, COO of Synlogic, and CBO for Padlock Therapeutics. Previously, she was Vice President of Corporate Development at Biogen where she led transactional business development activities and served as program executive for now-marketed products FAMPYRA,庐 ELOCTATE鈩� and ALPROLIX鈩�. Sam also previously worked in Corporate Development at Genzyme, Chiron Diagnostics and Health Advances.

In addition to serving on the board of Artios, she serves on the board of Avalo Therapeutics (NASDAQ: AVTX) and has previously served on the boards of Hotspot Therapeutics, iPierian (acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb) and True North (acquired by Bioverativ Inc.).

Samantha earned a BA in biology from Dartmouth College, a BE in biomedical engineering from the Thayer School at Dartmouth and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth.

Irena Melnikova

Director

Irena Melnikova, is a Partner at Pfizer Ventures and serves as a board director of Priovant Therapeutics, Crossbow Therapeutics, Flare Therapeutics and Telavant Holdings.

Irena is an accomplished biopharma and finance executive with over 20 years of experience in equity financings in both public and private markets, corporate strategy, business development, and operations. Prior to Pfizer Ventures, she served as the Chief Financial Officer at Umoja Biopharma where she was a senior member of the executive team responsible for all aspects of financial strategy and operations of the company. Prior to Umoja, Irena was a Managing Director, Biopharma Investment Banking at SVB Leerink, where she provided critical advice to biopharma companies and their boards on equity financing strategies, completing over 80 transactions raising over $9 billion for clients. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at Sanofi and TVM Capital.

Irena received a PhD in Molecular Medicine/Molecular Biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Michelle Doig

Director

Michelle聽Doig聽is a Partner and Head of Corporate Development at Omega Funds. She is currently serving as a Director and President of Omega Alpha SPAC.

Michelle has over 20 years of experience working with life sciences companies at leading international venture capital and investment banking firms. Prior to joining Omega, she was Director of Corporate Finance at Third Rock Ventures where she supported numerous portfolio companies. Before this, Michelle was a Principal, Corporate Finance at Abingworth. Michelle began her career as a life sciences investment banker with multiple investment firms, including Morgan Stanley (Toronto and New York), JPM H&Q (New York and San Francisco) and Lehman Brothers (London, UK).

Michelle holds an HBA in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University, London, Ontario.

John Hohneker

Director

John Hohneker, M.D., brings over 30 years of extensive experience in drug development and leadership across the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Anokion SA. Prior to this, he held the role of President of Research and Development at FORMA Therapeutics Inc. Before joining FORMA Therapeutics, Dr. Hohneker held roles of increasing responsibility at Novartis AG, including most recently as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Development, Immunology, and Dermatology.

Dr. Hohneker currently serves on the Board of Directors of Arrivent Biopharma, Carisma Therapeutics, Curis, Inc., Sonata Therapeutics, Inc., and Trishula Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Hohneker received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Gettysburg College and his M.D. from the Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Rutgers Medical School).

Ren茅 Kuijten

Director

Ren茅 Kuijten is Head of EQT Life Sciences and Partner at EQT. He is also Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Oncode Institute which he co-founded, and he advises the Dutch government on life sciences policies through HealthHolland.

Ren茅 was Managing Partner at LSP from 2001 until 2022, when LSP joined forces with EQT and was renamed EQT Life Sciences. Prior to LSP, Ren茅 was senior consultant for 8 years at McKinsey & Company and co-leader of their European Healthcare Practice. Furthermore, he served on the board of the Dutch Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (NVP) for 12 years.

Ren茅 obtained his MD from Utrecht University; his PhD from the University of Amsterdam on research performed as a WHO fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. He also obtained an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

Nikola Trbovic

Director

Nikola is a Partner at SV Health Investors in the Biotech team.

Previously, Nikola was a Partner at Pfizer Ventures, Pfizer鈥檚 corporate venture capital group. There he was responsible for investments in emerging companies developing transformative medicines spanning all therapeutic areas and modalities aligned with the future directions of Pfizer. In prior roles at Pfizer, Nikola held responsibilities for R&D technology investments, R&D strategy and early clinical portfolio management within the R&D organization. Nikola joined Pfizer from McKinsey & Co., where he served as an Associate Principal and senior member of the Pharmaceuticals Practice, advising top pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare companies on a range of strategy, corporate finance and commercial topics across geographies and therapeutic areas.

Nikola has a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from Columbia University and a Diploma in Biochemistry from Goethe University Frankfurt.
